Friday & Saturday - March 19 & 20, 2010

On Friday father and son, Rick and Brent Evans fished on the Osprey. We fished with ghost and grass shrimp from Benicia Bait. We worked the Suisun MBF area for several stripers and shaker sturgeon, ending the day with one keeper 10 lb striper and one keeper 53" sturgeon.

Saturday's trip was with Mike and Kevin. Our bait was grass shrimp, ghost shrimp and eel. We fished the AM at the Grizzly Island area and later by the MBF for several shaker stripers, a keeper striper about 5 lbs, several shaker sturgeon and one 49" sturgeon.

Saturday - March 13, 2010

Grandson Jacob went out looking for his first sturgeon.  Just as the afternoon wind picked up, his first sturgeon bit!

Wednesday - March 10, 2010

James called to charter the Osprey for a couple of hours of sturgeon fishing today. We started off going to Martinez Bait for grass and ghost shrimp. We fished at the MBF for 2 sturgeon: (1) 33" and (1) 47" at the end of the ebb tide.  Nice job for James and his first sturgeon catch!

Saturday - March 6, 2010

I fished Saturday with Don and Larry. Don and Larry caught their first keeper sturgeon on this trip. Total for the day: 5 sturgeon including 2 keepers at 46.5" and 48". We fished from Buoy 4 area to the Carquinez Straits with grass and ghost shrimp.
